Director Arshad Khan chose some fresh faces from bollywood for his recently released movie, Trump Card. Vikram Kumar, Haider Ali, Ehsaan Khan and Vishwajeet Pradhan are the leads along with Manasi Dovhal, Urvashi Chowdhury and Yashika. Trump Card was publicized as a suspense thriller, with a number of clueless murders and spy work for a particular cause.
The plot of Trump Card has three friends Rahul, Raj, and Veer who have acquired 300 crores each from a property will made by Rani Yashodhra Devi. One of the clauses states that if out of three, one friend is missing the money will get divided among two, and in any case two friends go missing then the third will bag the entire amount. In case all three are absent then total 900 crores will be donated to Mr. Malhotra’s N.G.O. “AKSHAR.” The question arises as to why the ‘Rani’ has given such a huge amount of wealth to these three friends instead of her family members.
Things get complex with a number of murders which accompany the incident. In the climax, the trump card is divulged and the mystery is solved. The overall action sequence and shots were nice but the storyline was weak. Even, the film picturisation was not strong enough to attract the audience. Lalit Sen has not been able to do justice with the music in the movie, which has been regarded as substandarised.
Trump Card movie disappointed the viewers. The new comers especially Pankaj and Yashika did a good job with their decent and confident acting.
