The comedy classic, Straight, directed by Parvathi Balagopalan released on March 20, 2009 under the banner of iDream Productions. The movie is produced by Charlotte Wonther and Shripal Morakhia and its soulful and catchy lyrics are given by none other than Subrat Sinha and the tunes go well under the direction of the music director Sagar Desai. The star cast of the movie is very much selective and taken up the cream of the crop. The cast includes Vinay Pathak, Daman Baggan, Rasik Dave, Siddhartha Makkar, Gul Panag, Achla Sachdev, Anuj Chaudhary and Ketaki Dave.

Straight is a story based on an Indian Vinay, (Pinu) who lives in London and is the owner of a posh restaurant Gaylord. One of factors which is a cause of his inferiority complex in spite of his name and wealth is his virginity till date. This introvert guy is often laughed upon by friends. Here enters his loving bro Rajat who is really fond of his funny attitude and helps him to cope up with the situation. Entry of Renu and Kamlesh (Gul and Anuj) adds a twist to the movie. Both of them start working in the restaurant. Due to her talents, Anju becomes popular amid customers. Now to add on to twist, Pinu discovers yet another question that is he a gay. Now what’s next? Where will the story head?

For sure Straight is going to be a blasting comedy. Classy actors and top notch comedy is what the call of the hour which will be well catered through the movie. Excitement, fun and frolic will fill the multiplexes this season and hopefully Straight will fetch huge collections domestically and internationally as well. So, get ready to beat the upcoming summers with the best of comedy with Parvathi Balagopalan’s Straight.
