Quick Gun Murugan: New Bollywood Movie Review

September 24, 2009 by funk · View Comments

If there is one word that describes this film then it is “funny”. From costumes to titles and the characterization everything in this movie bears a testimony of the dark comic humor of modern cinema.

Initially the film might have had very few takers, but with the skillful presentation by director Shashank Ghosh wins accolades both from the critics and the audiences.

Quick Gun Murugan is the name of a character played by telegu superstar Rajendra Prasad. He was killed in his last life by a villain called Rice Plate Reddy played by Nasser.

Quick takes a rebirth and is born in his native village once more, and he swears to take revenge against his arch enemy Rice Plate Reddy.

As weird as it might sound this villain in the movie only abducts women with good dosa making skills, so that he can prepare the best dosa. In such a situation quick gun Murugan dawns the hat of the saviors and comes to save the lives of these women.

This idea of this movie may not be in genuine, but the presentation and direction definitely requires appreciation. The acting is fabulous by Rajendra Prasad. However ,his excessive use of Tamil often takes away the zing from the story for a short while.

Otherwise this is a gem of a movie and is recommended for everyone who wishes to relive their lives in the midst of a dose of laughing pills

Cast: Rajendra Prasad, Ramba, Naseer, Raju Sundaram, Vinay Pathak, Anu Menon
