If “freedom” is the word that defines your personality then Love Ajj Kal is the movie for you. It is basically a modern day film where a couple in love refuses to abide by the typical rules of “love”.

The story in brief goes like this. Saif Ali Khanplays the role of Jai Vardhan Singh and Deepika Padukone plays the role of Meera Pandit. They meet each other and ends up having a relationship. But when their respective e careers demands them to leave London they mutually break up on an am amicable note because they feel long distance relationships don’t work. Rishi Kapoor dons the role of Veer Singh who silently witnesses their love story and their subsequent break up in his restaurant somehow is not convinced with Jai and Meera’s casual attitude towards love and wants Jai to stop Meera from leaving. He then starts narrating his own love story set in sepia colored backdrop of Kolkata and Delhi.

Saif is seen playing the young Veer Singh alongside his role as Jai Vardhan.

Director Imtiyaz Ali once again proves his brilliance as a story teller. Saif Ali Khan shows signs of a seasoned mature actor. Deepika Padukone is good, but still needs a lot of brushing up with her dialogue delivery skills. The music of the film is good and entertaining. The film is a light hearted movie for the new age movie goers. Its main usp is the way it voices the feelings of the modern generation while successfully holding on to the beauty of the eternal feeling of love.
