Life Partner: Bollywood Music And Movie Review

Life partner is a comedy by director Rumi Jaffrey about the conflicting expectations in a marital relationship. There is nothing new to the theme, it has been tried and tested a million times on the silver screen. Though the director tries to spice it up with beautiful locale and some comic scenes, she actually fails to save the show.

The story is all about three friends Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Govinda. Farden khan is a staunch believer in love marriages while Tushhar Kapoor believes in the institution of arrange marriage. Govinda following an extreme part does not believe in marriage at all. Trouble crops in when Fardeen and Tushar gets married with Genelia D’Souza and Prachi Desai respectively. Conflict of opinion pushes the two couple to the verge of divorce, however like all Hindi movies everybody gets reconciled in the end and the movie ends on a happy note.

The performances of the various actors are of very average level. Story, script, and direction are all very cliché and predictable .As far as the music is concerned the lesser spoken about it is better. The film qualifies as neither a comedy nor a drama. In short it is just wastage of money for the producers who invested in it, and also the viewer’s money for those who go to watch it.
