Kaminey : Bollywood Music and Movie Review

Kaminey live up to the trade mark style of its director Vishal Bharadwaj. It is a story with an attitude and promises its audiences a journey through a world filled with innocent dreams, shattered faiths, love, betrayal, gang wars, politics and bloodbath. In short kaminey travels through the entire gamut of human emotions in just two hours. kaminey

The story is about the lives of twin brothers ( guddu) portrayed as an honest simple fellow working in an NGO and that of (Charlie) who is a bookie at the race course. Both of them have high ambitions but unfortunately they both seemed to harbor a terrible dislike for each other until one day when they face each other running in a desperate attempt to save their lives, hopes, dreams, and ambition.

Shahid Kapor who plays the role of the twin brothers arguably delivers the best performance of his career. Other performances by Priyanka Chopra and Amol Gupta are also noteworthy. The film wins the heart of the audiences with flawless cinematography, and brilliant script. The movie runs on a fast pace and demands full attention and involvement from the audience to understand the sequence of the events that unfolds one after another. The music is superb and is already a rage with the crowds of the nation.

It’s an almost perfect movie and the only setbacks that seem to exist in is the dragged out climax scene and some scenes that might not be suitable for family viewing. Overall it is an entertaining movie that surely deserves a triple star rating.
