Distributors, analysts and exhibitors are awaiting Ra 1 eagerly, rating it as ‘the’ film of 2011. The movie flaunts a title whose full form is Random Access – Version 1.0. Rife with special effects, it is currently on the table for post-production add-ons. Akon will sing for the movie…how much bigger can it get! Shahrukh Khan is as excited about the flick as his fans are. He has done an excellent job as the central character of the movie, giving contemporaries more to eat their hearts out over.

Ra.One Live Music Launch:

One might think that it is a sequel of Murder and the story continues but this is a fresh chronicle for viewers. There are modified changes as compared to the first part and it is more sensuous, since Jacqueline and Emran have created awesome chemistry. The murder mystery is apprehensive in this tale. Therefore you can expect good suspense, after all it is a Mahesh Bhatt production movie. There are many hot, spicy adult scenes in it. Therefore, it is not appreciative for audience below the age of 18 to enjoy this film.

Murder 2 is a story about a lonely married girl named Simran played by Jacqueline Farnandez. She is bored with her marriage and husband, Sudhir, played by Ashmit Patel. To add some excitement in her life, she falls for her old college friend, Sunny. Emran has played the role of Sunny. In the later half, Simran is accused of Sunny being murdered, when the actual murderer is her own husband Sudhir.

This movie promoted and produced by Salman is basically not another money stunt. This is shown as the actor states that after successes like ready and dabanag there is no need to steal and make money worthlessly. The money is for charity and that’s the way it is, according to the actor.

The story revolves around eight kids namely, Aflatoon, Encyclopedia, Akram, Jangya, Silencer, Second Hand, Panauti, Shaolin and their adorable dog Bheedu. There are many masti scenes as also moments when one might sense reality. Emotional scenes are plenty with the director taking effort to draft them in so that they create and impact on the audiences. The part where kiddo jangya comes to the society watchman who demands that the dog be taken away in a car is heartwarming. This part shows that no matter the circumstances, these kids wouldn’t want anyone of them to be separated from their close knit group. The parents of these children after a lot of discussion and deliberations allow for the dog to be a part of the family and take a stand to support their children against the fury and anger of a politician. Facts of life which state that just because a person’s tone of speaking is harsh it doesn’t mean that they want to hurt someone or they don’t have a heart are showcased in this movie.

If you have the right side supporting you can stand up against any politician or evil in this world. This is the main message of this movie conveyed to us through a series of funny and emotional gags.

Update: Surprise – Surprise, we got a girl winner of Mtv Hero Honda Roadies 8 after 5 years — AAnchal. The final was a bit disappointing, with winner chosen via a voteout instead of a task. The whole thrill of MTV roadies 8  was overshadowed by this votout.  Wished there was a better end to finalle as anticipated. The final  should have  brough the best from the 2 finalists, instead it was won by a simple voteout .

AAnchal Won the voteout by 9:1 and mohit looked stunned. Finally the luck runs out for mohit. Aanchal gets a new Hero Honda Karizma and 4 lakh in cash.

Congratulations AAnchal  for becoming Mtv Roadies 8 winner. The Hangover 2

This time the madness unfolds at Stu’s wedding. Pre-wedding brunches don’t go horribly wrong, but in this case it does. Formulated attempts at garnering attention in sequels have worked in the past, but this attempt fails miserably. What worked for the first installment is what messes it up. One thing that Todd Phillips got completely wrong is everything. There’s nothing in this movie that deserves praise. It’s a lesson on what a sequel shouldn’t be. The Hangover 2 is attempt at fooling audiences with a tried and tested approach.

With a strong star cast of The Hangover 2 one would expect good performances but sadly there aren’t any. Watching talented actors being wasted due to lack of ideas saddens you. You end up feeling sorry for the star cast for agreeing to be a part of this movie. Hangover 2 is an attempt to cash in on the success of the prequel. Only the monkey in the movie doesn’t make a monkey out of itself. There’s no bright spot in this movie. Its painful, it’s horrible, it a headache. The only thing this film deserves is plenty of criticism.

Kung Fu Panda 2

Your eyes well up when cuddly baby Po is separated from his parents. Po is adopted by a goose. It’s no surprise that Po keeps wondering how his father is a goose. With all its funny moments this movie succeeds in teaching audiences the value of family. A thought provoking script works wonders for movies and it does for this one too. There’s never a dull moment. Po the lovable Panda along with his friends take it upon themselves to protect the Valley of peace.

The villain, who makes a formidable opponent, has evil plans to make use of a deadly secret, a weapon that has the power to conquer China and put an end to Kung Fu forever. Po and his gang travel across China to gain ultimate victory. The voices lent to characters on the first installment have been reprised. There’s nothing to complain about in this movie. It’s flawless in every aspect. There are few animated movies that have a thought provoking message attached, this is one of them. This movie creates an impact without being overly loud. The magical moments in the movie are endearing. You just can’t help falling in love with Po and his friends. At the end of it you’re left with a feeling of warmth within. All in all Kung Fu Panda-2 is a must watch movie for kids and adults alike.

Pirates of the caribbean on stranger tides

Penelope Cruz as Angelica doesn’t have much to do. Well, with Jack Sparrow being the central character of the movie, there’s little left to imagination. The in-your face Jack Sparrow is a treat to watch. The theatrically clumsy yet lovable persona Johnny Depp brings to life is magical. In previous installments one does not get to hear Jonny Depp a lot, that’s because most of his expressions say it all. In this one though, you get to witness the varying tonal differences with various moods exhibited by Johnny Depp. It is a joy to watch Jack Sparrow alter his voice and expression in accordance with different situations he encounters.

With Stranger Tides director Rob Marshall has his audience wide eyed. You don’t have time to blink. The visuals on screen captivate you. You get engrossed in the story. Geoffrey Rush dons the role of Barbossa, a rival pirate effortlessly. A kaleidoscope of events can be a bother in most movies, but not on this one. On Stranger Tides is not brilliant but it offers what fans crave for, entertainment.

Amy is an NRI girl who comes to Mumbai and befriends two urban boys. These boys have only one goal in life and that is to live their lives on the line. When time comes to pay off the amount to the cop, these three friends stage a kidnapping of Amy. This is as Amy’s parents are willing to pay off any amount for the release of their daughter. The case is given to a suspended inspector to tackle. During the course of the kidnapping things go wrong, and lies need to be told to cover up previous lies. This web of lies causes them to be wary of each other’s intentions which lead to mutual distrust between the three of them.

The idea of self kidnapping is borrowed from the unreleased movie paanch while the rest of the movie is genuine and real taking into consideration the actors and their roles. Screenplay is superb and it unfolds without a hitch. The scenes of Shaitan keep on shifting from lighthearted moments to those where there is wholesome tension and moments where one can shoot up from their seats with a start. Songs are good and they have been edited nicely to include scenes and onscreen moments where sound tracks are required.

Shaitan is not one that can be seen again and again. It is a onetime watch and a portal to pass your time.

Love Express

At a time when Bollywood movies are getting noticed for their screenplay and direction, this movie steps out of line with garish performances and unacceptable screenplay right out from a forgettable old Hindi movie. Though today’s films show some change in their screenplay and direction one cannot find a single change in the aspect of this film. There is neither style statement nor any inkling from the production regarding style of this film. This film at times to the trained eye can feel like a soap opera and nothing more.

The soap opera comes into play as this movie unfolds on a train journey from Amritsar to Mumbai. There are scenes where excited Punjabis break into song and dance on a train which has space for a cafeteria as also a bar. This aspect of the movie puts ones mood off as it is expected that movie makers of today should be equipped with realistic and innovative ideas.

A love story can’t be written off very easily and one can find solace when these stories unfold with grace. Arranged marriage scenarios and twists in the overall story are a soothing sight to those still sitting in their seats. Though the movie as a whole is acceptable, it can’t be perceived why film students made a movie with such a safe tagline and storyline.
