With daddy cool Indian cinema continues its honeymoon of copying blatantly from western classics.
Daddy Cool is a frame by frame copy of the Hollywood movie “death at a funeral”. The plot, the character the sequence everything remains the same. The only unfortunate change is in the cast.
The story is about the funeral of Sharat Saxena. His elder son played by Sunil Shetty is quite shocked and grief stricken at the death of his beloved father and plans to have a good funeral. But his dreams of quietly laying his father to rest comes to a halt when bunch of relatives , and their friends stars pouring in and trouble starts brewing. The funeral is surrounded with numerous scandals and weird situations –thanks to these weird characters. The mother of all problems arrives when Rajpal Yadav claims to have had a secret relation with the deceased man; he demands a share in the property to keep his mouth close. All these situations creates a very.
Funny situations and gives rise to a bigger problem. How these interlinked problems are untied is basically the bottom-line of the movie.
The movie has few songs, which is a blessing in disguise. The punches and thoughts used are quite adult in content and unsuitable for Indian audience.
In short this movie is not worth wasting money on.
