Euphoria are back to rock again with Redhoom, a new exciting album featuring thirteen electrifying numbers like Dhoom, Hind Rock, Rock Sako To Rock Lo & more.. Euphoria came back with ReDhoom, it is the 6th & latest album of the Indian Rock Band Euphoria and it is the 2nd Remixed Album in the Dhoom (1st one was Phir Dhoom after the main Dhoom). Euphoria is among the first to bring the rock culture to India. They mixed electric guitar with traditional instruments like the tabla, dholak and sitar to create mesmerizing effects. The band lineup has often changed through the early nineties and attained stability after 1998. But still they Rock the young hearts of India.

After the successful and award-winning first innings of newcomer H-Dhami with his single Sadke Java, he’s back with his first album and the same title, produced under the keen eye of veteran British-Asian music producer, Rishi Rich. Rich’s known for his talent-spotting and this album will do nothing less. The Rishi Rich imprint is prevalent all over the album, and rather obscures the talents of H-Dhami. Nonetheless, it’s a vivacious and energetic album that guarantees a bobbing listener all summer long!

H-Dami-Punjabi Artist

The title track is the first to hit you and it instantly grabs your attention with jiving beats – plus the remix version is equal to it. Mitra Di Jaan and Nachdi Vekhna should bring back a stream of memories with its recognisable tune and bassline from a couple years back. Perhaps this is playing it too safe, but it does work. Other songs with recognisable tunes include Akh Lad Gayee (the Bollywood original is much hastier), along with a more traditional take on Lute Gaai.

All the songs on this album are quite quick paced though Har Gabroo is a bit mellower. H-Dhami’s vocals take on an unusual quality here, rendering the song endearing and sincere. The same goes for Heeriye – another track that will stand out due to its lingering tune. However the highlight is certainly Dho Nain. Yes it may at first sound like an average tune, but H-Dhami’s rendition stands out. For a new artist, he sounds exceptionally seasoned and experienced.

Rabbi Shergill is finally back with his new album titled Avengi Ja Nahin. His debut album Bulla was an undisputed hit across the nation despite zero money spent on advertising and the only promotion being a brilliant video and word of mouth publicity. His new album was earlier released on the Nokia’s N-Series platform. Rabbi’s new album comprises of nine brilliant tracks. Most of the album has been produced in Milan, Italy. Rabbi has penned down the lyrics and has composed the music for the album himself. His unique music made its way into many hearts. The new album has been released under the Yash Raj Music banner. The video for the title track Avengi Ja Nahin has already hit the national television.

Rabbi Shergil

The album begins with a brilliant track Chhalla. This one could give Gurdaas Mann a run for his money! This is one track you want to listen to after a hard day of work. In fact you could listen to any song in the album to relax your mind. Avengi Ja Nahin is another of Rabbi’s signature tracks. The lyrics are mesmerizing. Although I feel the video doesn’t do full justice to the song. Remember the smash hit Bulla’s video?! The video was so amazing and it went so well with the track. Next up, Tu Avin Bandra is a sweet track. Bilqis is rather interesting to listen to. If you do understand Punjabi, even a little, you’ll have a grip on the lyrics. In case you don’t, well you can still enjoy the soothing music. The album ends with Return to Unity which is another track you wanna listen to again and again. On the whole, the album is worth the money. If you liked Rabbi’s debut album you are gonna love his new album! Rabbi Shergill gets 10/10 from me!

The British prince of Indian pop, Tarseme Singh has strived to change with the times. From his early days as bhangra sensation, Johnny Zee, to his reinvention as fusion artist Taz from Stereo Nation, he continues to create music that appeals to the masses.

Equally popular in India as he is in the UK, the Midlands-based singer/songwriter hits all the right notes with Jawani On The Rocks. With something for everyone, this catchy blend of Indian pop, Punjabi folk, RnB and Hip Hop tunes sounds just as at home played in the car as they would in a nightclub or iPod.

Taz - Sterio Nation

Featuring his characteristic mixture of Hindi, Punjabi and English lyrics, this time we also get a bit of Spanish thrown in for good measure in the title track Jawani. Accompanied by South American rapper, Don Minicano, Taz creates the kind of cracking song that has radio airplay written all over it. Showing off Taz’s vocal dexterity and range, it’s a winner from beginning to end.

Just as catchy is Hilgaya which features Shibani Kashyup. Beginning with a remixed sample of Taal Se Taal from the Hindi film, Taal, the song quickly transforms into a thumping dance number. Illustrating Taz’s superior skills in singing Hindi, it’s a wonder why Bollywood hasn’t utilised his talents more often.

Sticking out among the compilation like a bit of a sore thumb is the Punjabi number, Boli Pa Mitran featuring Sarbjit Kaur. Its traditional flavour doesn’t gel with the contemporary flavour of the rest of the album. The same could be said of the unnecessary updated version of the celebratory wedding classic, Aaj Meri Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.

Recorded in the UK and Mumbai, the album boasts good production values and a smooth international sound that highlights Taz’s crooning ability. You’d be hard pushed not to relive your Jawani (youth) by bopping along to this gem of an album
