Baabarr : Bollywood Movie Review

October 17, 2009 by funk · View Comments

The film is basically a flick that revolves around the story of a young boy played by Soham shah who in his quest of protecting his younger siblings fires a gun and thus goes on to become a gangster. Start the police chase by Mithun Chakraborty who finds it very futile to go on the chase after BAABAR. This is due to the links of high ranking officials as well as politicos that BAABAR has. Like all of the movies of this genre there is always a pretty girl who falls in love with the hero in spite of all his deeds and there is also a rival who challenges his supremacy time and again. These two roles are played by Urvashi Sharma and Sushant Singh respectively.

Though the film goes on smoothly there are some of the scenes that get your thinking machine into play and makes you wonder why that certain thing happened when even god could not make it happen… just an exaggeration, but its true. The intensity of the gangster is not up to the mark and thus fails to portray the act with the much needed intensity.

The film on the whole is a flick that can’t be missed out but will eat your head and make you want to pull out your hair for the simple reason that the movie doesn’t live up to the potential of a gangster movie……
